This guide will teach you how to use Photoshop and many of its features to create, design and manipulate images on your computer.

The Basics

Before we begin, you should be aware that the following Photoshop video tutorials and guides are based on the most recent version, Photoshop CC 2015.

Image editing is a process in which you will create, modify and enhance an image in order to achieve a particular goal. Let's start by creating a blank document, using the "File" menu. Here, you can see that the "New" tab is in the forefront. Below that tab, you have the "File" menu, and at the top it lists the "File" menu. You have a series of options to choose from, depending on what you would like to do. We are going to start with a basic "File" menu option called "New."

You can see that the selected option is for "image." You have five options below that; however, we are going to use the "New Document" option, as it allows you to create a blank document or open an existing document.





Clipping Path

Many people (including me) use Photoshop, but I have to admit I'm still unsure about the best way to use it when it comes to clipping paths. Like this little girl, I just have a question.

Are you a path or a photo? That's right. According to the Adobe website, a clipping path is a vector image that replaces an object on the artboard. It may also be referred to as a mask or a negative space. But a clipping path is a separate file.

A clipping path doesn't touch the image file. It's an image of a previously finished object, which is positioned and aligned correctly. There are cases where you may want to apply a clipping path after you've cut out portions of the photo.

In this tutorial, I will apply a clipping path to this image, and I'll share with you all the steps that are involved in doing so. We will start by adding a new image file to our document.

To create a new document, click on the "File" menu and choose "New." It opens the file dialog with a series of options, including the "File Type" option.

Photoshop Elements 11 is a graphics editor and photo editor for the vast majority of their users. The core application is similar to a professional edition of Photoshop but features are limited and the interface has been simplified.

The question you need to ask yourself is whether you are a hobbyist or a professional and whether you need the professional features of Photoshop.

Downloading Photoshop Elements 11

Photoshop Elements 11 is available to download for free through Adobe’s software store. There are no licensing fees or obligations.

Alternatively, you can download the software from the Adobe website. This website does not accept licensing fees or any other form of payment. The download includes the software and updates are available for free, or you can buy a subscription.

Once you have downloaded the software, you will need to install it. Adobe have a guide to getting started with Photoshop Elements 11.

Getting started with Photoshop Elements 11

This will show you how to get started with a new copy of Photoshop Elements 11.

Photoshop Elements 11 comes with some downloadable content, which you can access from the main menu.

1 Download and install Adobe’s Photoshop Elements 11 onto your computer from the software store.

2 Open the software, and you will see a welcome screen.

You will need to accept the license agreement and the terms and conditions before you can use the software.

3 Click the Get the Starter set icon on the left.

4 The Starter set includes Photoshop Elements 11, a 60-page PDF that can be kept and scanned for future reference, and some utilities.

5 Click the Yes, get the starter pack.

6 The first screen that you see is a sample image of the image you are editing.

7 Drag or use the camera icon on the lower right-hand side of the image to open your image. The image of your photo opens in Photoshop Elements.

You will use the image editing tools that you find in the sample image.

8 Save your image to the computer.

You can use your own photo, or choose one from Adobe’s site to upload. This could be a photo you have taken or one that you want to use.

How to put different groups of "unrelated" code in separate files and then link them into the main file (as different objects of the class) in C++?

I am very new to C++ (3 months) and I need to do something that I have never done before.
I have a template class inherited from std::map and inside that class I have a few groups of variables (they are unrelated). I don't know how to do a very simple thing:
I need to put these groups of variables (located in separate files) in the class so they can all be accessed using the *this pointer. So the groups of variables are supposed to be able to be accessed in the code of the main file as different objects of the class.
Example:
In the main file I have a function and inside that function I need to add some new variables (these variables are unrelated). So I would like to insert them in the class, but I don't know how to do that because in my template class (the one inheriting from std::map) is only the *this pointer and there is no declaration of an object of that template class.
Is there any way to do this?

It is not a good idea to inherit from std::map but if you really need to, you can do it with the following:
template class my_map
{
private:
std::map _my_map;
// all your other members and functions
};

You can then use this:
my_map d_map;
my_map c_map;
my_map s_map;

in your program and have all of them as independent objects.

Despite all the slights and insults, the family is proud, and their own histories -- and their founding patriarch's own life -- are the thing they stand on. This is what "Vice" is trying to get at, and it's clear why Caryn James and Godfrey Reggio chose to work with the Gorks. Both had been in the news recently for the right reasons, and the question asked by critics was if the film would address the cruelty of the Bush Administration in the face of Hurricane Katrina. Not really. In fact, it should be required viewing for anyone who thinks only one person in this country should be holding the power.

Matthew McConaughey plays Frank Tilton, and the film is about the kind of man he would be if he'd lived to be 100. He takes no bullshit, treats people fairly, and he's not afraid of work. It's the fall of the family that changes him. This is the important part of the story, because Frank sees his family through a camera lens in the years leading up to the passing of his father, who'd been a big part of raising the children. What's behind the camera, the journalist-in-training sees by the time he's 21, but it's hard to ignore when he's watching the footage.
